Breakfast was in the early hours, preparation was long before the sun was up. The guest, a youthful gentleman, and aren’t they all now, had to get to his conference down the street, on sleep apnea. On the table as it were, was exchange of ideas, discussion, dialogue of life, death, and the “hear” after. Wound around art, music and free trade, over biscuits’ and hard boiled eggs. Bought, personally and by myself a bottle of grape jelly as an accoutrement to the toasted raison bread. (the secret weapon to get guests down the stairs ahead of their schedule) Done and dusted for another day, before the neighborhood was awake. Made a reservation for a taxi for an early awakening, for 4:30.
Lucy got herself as well her eggs and a walk. The day accomplished at 9. The snow is gone but for a little in the back yard. The temperatures’ climbed and it poured.
Time slowed down, at boot camp as the humidity was pinning every thing and limb to the ground. With weights and bosu s mats and balls we fought to do windshield washers. That is where you take your legs, together mind you, and place them on the ground beside you, and arc overhead to the other side. We had a ladder to leap over, and step in rather than climb, and reverse flies. We pounced the rubber while planking up and down. We were magicians, keeping ourselves going. It was tough. I have my selection of books beside the bed, which were untouched as we showed the pillows who was the person above.
It is now officially difficult to dress one self. Habit has you getting boots hats and mitts out, but you need shorts. Boots but of the rubber kind. Another day of fun and adventure, waiting just around the next corner, stay tuned. Madame Butterfly this afternoon~
Love is friendship that has caught fire. It is quiet understanding, mutual confidence, sharing and forgiving. It is loyalty through good and bad times. It settles for less than perfection and makes allowances for human weaknesses. Ann Landers & Moi
