Another first, a couple, the young adults they are. The younger they are, the more likely they are to sleep inn. These guys, attractive full-sized young, childless I assume, slept thru all the Quebecois chattering, laughing and carrying on. It was not particularly quiet, breakfast either. The other guests, they were all older, with gray hair, nearing retirement, or had ready made it to that promised land, were up with the crows. The older you are the more likely you are to hear the trains, or street noise. I also understand that you older you are the less sleep one needs. Not my problem I have to say. Mine is finding it anywhere I can in the summer. Napping is also difficult, due the phone calls starting at noon for beds.
These two, perfumed with a lemon line scent and lot it I have to add, were and did slept like the dead. I would have been apprehensive, however their bladders called, making them trudge to then end of the hall to go use the washroom. While the revelers of the morning went about their going to places of interest. The couple arrived with a case of beer, 24 headed to the casino after a round of golf. They have taken a record mount of showers as well. One when they arrived, the both of them, then two hours later, and again in the morning.
Tonight as it is a holiday there might be another round of “where is a bed.” This is similar to “pop goes the wheeze-L” What is that game that children used to play at birthday parties, when the music stopped they dove for chairs. Well this is adults diving for a single bed left in the city.
I am expecting an African, for four weeks, with no know arrival time at present who is going into the same room as the couple who will not get up. My luck and you all my dear and gentle readers know how much I have of that, will be the man will arrive with enough luggage to sink the Titanic. Then have to wait in the livening room while I fling myself around and chirp glad tidings.
The day is bright, the humidity appears to have lessened and we are off for another day of fun and adventure. “”The true secret of happiness lies in taking a genuine interest in all the details of daily life. William Morris
