So the kids slept till noon, affording moi an opportunity to tally up the sales taxes due. The other room was full of ladies from Quebec, a social worker, working withiest men, the other a teacher of the dyslectic, neither of whom spoke a word of English. Camping in Nova Scotia was their aim. Both were completely unacquainted that is was a holidase. That meant nothing was open. Grocery stores shut tight or any other kind of commerce. It is one day here in this province, Québec the whole thing shuts for two weeks for the construction holiday. OFF they went after they took their bikes out of the garage and put them back on the car and a hearty lumberjack (not) breakfast of gallons of coffee and some food. The amount consumed was the same as if the table was full to the brim not just the cups. Two pots, and several trips to the washroom and they were gone girls.
I completed cleaning, washing and all the standard things needed to get the house ready for another round of people late in the day. Pulling he red damask, for a trip to the cleaners, and other blanket of the winter weight, ( it really doesn’t come off easily anymore, but then it never did) to make ready for a Monday morning start on a Tuesday. It is going to be one of those weeks. Institution time traveling.
Then it was time, yes indeed, for boot camp! Messaging with the diminutive leader to try and get out of it yet again. “ Am I the only one? for class, otherwise, I can and will fall on my sword………….Should be maybe 6 or 7.…………..Poo ok will struggle into my undergarments………………..Funny ?. I usually struggle out of mine!! ……well in this heat I go both ways. rolls up and around while trying to get into it and then stuck under after…………..Almost part of the workout!! “
And Off WE WENT. lunging up hills backwards and such. While running the stairs, I literally ran into the minister of finance for the province and her husband. In my mind I run like a gazelle realty not so much. I offered to lead a trail run. Brief and concise it was. The group waited for me at the corners, as I was the only one who knew where we were going. Back we came after to thump and bang about the computer system. The merriment continues. Stay tuned. “”Happiness lies in the joy of achievement and the thrill of creative effort. Franklin D. Roosevelt & Moi
