“We landed in Waterville Maine after 7.5 hrs driving and stops. Friends all around here with help. Lawd willin’ we’ll raise Watertown MA tomorrow. Dad’s still ok and was pressing for getting home but we opted to take it a bit slower.

How to say it? I am still buzzing from your goodness, big bear hugs wondrous love and kick-ass boiled coffee. Am hooked and will try making it when I land. First place I’ve felt sad to leave in many years, hoping for a return. Loads of love from us. xOXOxoxo

August 10, 2017 Your dad has been trained to press on, always, he has been trained to rush into burning buildings, pressing on is in his DNA now. There is an old saying about slowing down to make haste.

You will be missing at this mornings breakfast, rice pudding, banana bread,(in the oven as we type) with the standard, but different, using raison bread french toast this morning. Fruit salad and the baked beans which I forgot at yesterdays table.

Coffee is boiled, I use Maxwell House, and lots of it and its on the table awaiting first guests down at 7:30

Lucy was coughing yesterday and fell while doing so and is limping very badly. I fear for her, as you must your dad,(in law)we will make an appointment at the vet for sometime today.

Thanks so much, for letting me know, please give my regards to all.

Can I use your email in my blog?

Wishing you all a continued safe voyage, and a speedy return, back to your loved ones, and one day, back here.

Life is short and we have never too much time for gladdening the hearts of those who are travelling the dark journey with us. Oh be swift to love, make haste to be kind. Henri Frederic Amiel, Linda & Lucy P
