Certainly moving, along at a clip, other than, the fact we are not sure just where Moi and the dog are headed to. This is the standard operating procedure here at the Downtownbnb. Have not yet decided on just where my destination is. Leaving that up to providence or coincidence, or most days the list of life. May find myself on a different continent from where I would have wished at the end of the day… Distractions, interruptions and commotions, become visible and large!

Today it’s as if I was at, you are my dear and gentle readers know just how this can be, at the or in the circus. What else is new you ask? There’s just so much going on. Much as one TRYs to get a bit of calm and peace, you think there it is and no its not.

I have had a corner of the kitchen cleaned and the rest is scheduled as the spring clean is now cut up into bits and pieces as there is not a spare minute anywhere a spring occupation, delayed. The patio is about to become undone. Bills to pay, and credit cards to process. My circus is in town.

Since we last wrote, we had representations at the table from France, from Holland, from the prairie provinces represented by the city of Regina. We learned the history of the amalgamation of, Gatineau, Quebec There have been political discussions around the table on the state of Britain, staying and going. On the American election. (now that is a extravaganza.) On the weather, how high the snow goes and warm the day was going to be. We have chuckled, giggled, laughed, and wondered.

We have served French toast, bagels and boiled eggs, gallons of coffee, tea and juice. There has been fruit salad, milk and water. Baskets and baskets of peaches. Bananas by the ton. Today we dig into the frozen rhubarb, left over from last years summer crop, just to get it out of the freezer. There have been lemon breads, banana breads and bread pudding. Just for a change we made rice pudding. (yes for breakfast. And none goes to waste.)

We have dusted, mopped, sprinkled, swabbed and wiped. We have cleaned, upstairs, downstairs’ three and four times. We started a deep clean in the corner in the kitchen, as the French toast batter was creating art on the walls. Inside the cupboards were deep cleaned and the kitchen walls are next. Whenever the entertainment value and energy permits.

The weather has been warm and breezy. The clothes line full of sheets, and towels. We escorted the heavy red damask cover to the cleaners and replaced the bed skirt and now have to put it on the list of life to get it home. We have continued to downsize, extra blankets are now in the garage waiting for the trip to the recycling. The garden has to be torn asunder, as there is a new platform going in, and the plants have to go. OFF we go for another day of fun and adventure, stay tuned. Cirque du Soleil means Circus of the Sun. When I need to take time to reenergize, I go somewhere by the ocean to sit back and watch the sunsets. That is where the idea of ‘Soleil’ came from, on a beach in Hawaii, and because the sun is the symbol of youth and energy. Guy Laliberte Moi and the Lucy P, golden of some repute.
