It has been busy here, during the summer season, forgot almost just how you can get going and keep going. Lucy is on drugs, as she fell over trying to clear her throat, then when she went over, catching her paw on the rug. OFF we went to the vet.  she only had a flat tire attached to a rusty rim. We are gimping slowly in the rain. Things continue on that course, irrespective of wishes.

Breakfast is being produced in copious quantities. A trifecta of young ladies who, studying things like pharmacy and nursing, don’t want breakfast, they left me a note, as I went to bed when they went out. I have to tell you does not happen often. Not eating breakfast, my going to bed in the middle of the afternoon is well known to all and sundry.

The guests that were here, were supposed to take two rooms for two days, stayed only one as they were “allergic” to the dog. The golden of some repute has not been upstairs in years, hardwood floor abound, cleaned daily I might add, with a mop and water, and there are no carpets. They did stay one night, and were surprised at just how well they slept. One room found a replacement body or three, but had an empty one last night.

Another guest from just down the road, slipped in just under the wire and despite, modern ethology and car accidents, they arrived and gave me a nice thumbs up on the reservation systems. They rescue Sheppard’s. Pictures at the table of hummingbirds and of their 100 pound baby. The other unexpected guests, is a birthday boy, of 10 and his parents, who went swimming in the rain. Mind you it was a water facility center, complete with ropes, waves and tides, but indoors.

My last call of the day was from people in Antigonish. They had been rained out of their campsite. They were still there at 8 pm looking for a room for four people. They were and hopefully are five hours away. They asked for suggestions, as they wanted to go to the big grapefruit, a day or two driving away from here, and they are five hours with a good headwind from here. I told them to head to the university, to seek cheap accommodations where they were….

This a short address, to let you know the world will not come to an end, although with the exhalation and inhalations, dripping nose and the hacking of recent days I thought it might. The rain will bring with it lawn mowing, an event I have not missed at all. A tree in the back taken down, now looking for the window washer, a May event. I have generations of another service technician the chimney man. His children can’t come until October.
