As the dog seemed to be itchy we drug out her brushes and proceeded to make another albeit small dog. The dog got brushed while we supervised the guy making the new fence. He is in a speed as the heavy rains are predicted to fall and lots of it. The patio is gone, long live the sod. There is new territory to discover. What was under the patio is now open to the elements, exposed earth. There are heavy rains in the forecast of course. There will be a new mud hole for Lucy to dig and roll around in. She is so smart, not bragging or anything. BUT she found a back way into the lilac bushes today, as the wall that was there, had vanished. In the meantime the sod is not in nor even ordered at the moment nor the topsoil that needs to go with it. When we called for prices there was none in stock either.

The laundry stand, with new laundry line is situated and inaugurated, high off the soil. ( that is usual they only way I get high it seems.) Standard operations are that towels go out first, with sheets in the middle, and things like place mats, socks and unmentionables that the neighbors have been watching for years, bringing up the rear. (no pun intended) However, that will all change. I discovered the first two feet of the line is in shade and will now have to configure the laundry a new way. This morning we had to repeat some towels of the second or was it third load. I do not do reverse well.

SO a dear friend and her husband rolled in. It was determined we had not seen each other in 14 years, and not kept in really good touch, but there she was. Her husband is, a not by choice vegan, and no oil man now. Problems of the heart I was told, so there we were mixing up black bean burgers in my French toast mixing bowl. A culture clash. We brought each other up to date as only two extraverts can do, while her husband found a newspaper and buried himself within its pages.

The duo couple from France left after she got her hair done around the corner as she is starting a new job. She would not have time for a tune up before she started her new employment. They left at 2 pm. Friends and a family who arrived using the facilities only, left for a jamboree having rescued a camper whose parents RV broke. Many phone calls and texts. All gone by three with the wall of fame still going up. I waited mere minutes and the phone started with a new round of guests, Macedonians from Thorn Hill which by the way was where my friend was originally from. They did not know each other but missed each other by a mere 24 hours. More calls from the tourism bureau and more guests appeared and we are up to three rooms. The last guests from Newfoundland arriving in the nick of time at 10:30. Then we unplugged the phone with one room short of a full house. Help was called for as the whole house was done under the watchful eyes of undeparted guests and do not want another round of that. We were hoping for five for five, not sure that is going to happen but one can hope. “”Life is a tragedy when seen in close-up, but a comedy in long-shot. Charlie Chaplin Lucy P and Moi
