The bread pudding was prepared the night before. It went in the oven, sneding smells up the stairs to wake the guests, my secret? Bake it in the morning. The coffee was made, tea at the ready for the two Americans sailing the world. Their boat parked in Philly waiting for them as they explore the Maritimes, on the buckled list. He having spent his adult life in England working for GE as an engineer.

Other guests include a father daughter gluten free and will eat in their room. Bowls and a sharp knife went upstairs before their retiring. A speech pathologist and her beau, from Manitoba, arrived and were here before I could get back from boot camp, and then an older couple. Another delightful couple who needed the fridge for their food, which looks gluten free, vegan and probably sugar emancipated as well.

I was catching up with the computer waiting for all to come down, and it seemed all were awake when the morning check of the bathrooms happened. They will of course all descend at the same time for the pudding. Which may confuse the American, as pudding is what dessert is called across the pond. I received from him, did I mention he is an engineer, and I often joke about the locks, needing an engineer to lock them properly and his beau feed back, a “instantaneous” review via computer, at 6:58. They did not like the locks on the doors, (spelled dor btw) and their were no reading lamps in the room. (there are two.) He could have come down the stairs and asked but no, that take courage, but there is the review, for all the world to see, another not a thing I can do about it. He could have come down the stairs and asked for light bulbs, but no I find out he cannot turn on the lamps plural via the internet. The hardest part, I have to be polite and not hit them when I serve them breakfast. More to the point.

Off we go for another day of fun and adventure. There is a hockey tourmanet in town, and a concert, two cancellations’ yesterday while I was being knocked off my feet in the waves, so the scramble to full starts again. “”Courage is being scared to death… and saddling up anyway.
