Eventually the guests were gone. Some even asking to stay later. All thinking check out was noon I had arrivals coming then. Pushing the humidity aside, the cleaning accomplished. The next set of sisters arrived, assuring me they stayed because my reviews on line, “were so good.”

We were OFF, big, blaring blatant, Newfoundland born. Neither residing there at the moment. One came to visit an auntie, and the other came to see here sister. See how that works? They kicked off drinking with bottles they brought with them to accompany the little lunch they brought with them. It seems they did not cease.

OFF they went in search of a pub, found a party, leaving that, they placed the pub in an uproar the eye witness reporting. A gay young man, I ascertained in the lounge with them, when I got back with Lucy from her nightly walk. Were they ready to settle down? NO ! Please note, this was going to bed time for MOI. They were going for a meal. I informed them that the big little city was not that big, the kitchens may close early on a Sunday night.

It looks like they did, as one sister, returned without the other and another man in tow. Higher than a kite, and did not have the key. The door bell rang at 2 a.m. Oh yes the shrieking to make sure the other sister was not home revolved around the house. I slept thru the ringing of the door bell you see.

I made certain, that they were aware of the parking restrictions and check out, one in the same at 10 am, while they were checking in as ‘something told me.” They could manage the lock on the doors. The Notwithstanding clause was evoked. The sisters, trumpet-like, clanging, cockeyed, could do not concentrate or comprehend, tried to corral the neighbors into directions, of where to meet her sons girlfriends parents two blocks away. I was loading Lucy in La Tomato for a brisk drive. SHE did not want to go for a walk. Indicating to me by running to the car it was preferable to have air conditioned comfort. OFF we went and inevitably back we came to find the front doors unlocked, not just once but many times thru out the night, my fault it seems when I locked it to turn in “leave the keys in my car at home syndrome.” Once sister looked for the other, and at 7 a.m rang the door bell I locked to get back in, and asked me to let her into her room. It was unlocked and the snoring sibling was revealed. The male escort was most apologetic

Jesus arrived with his lovely wife, apologizing for their late arrival, getting me up not for the last time in the night. The woods are lovely, dark and deep. But I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep. Robert Frost Moi and Miss Lucy P
