We are heading into another weekend, and the Baptists’ are in town. A convention of them at the local university. With that two rooms and most ordained.
The sun was up and it was sweltering. Ahead of mowing, watering, in direct disagreement with the directions, as I had a useless sprinkler. Why was that ? Inquiring minds want to know? It needed and would later in the dazy to do quick trip to get a new end to the hose, I having purchased and had installed a new male when it needed a female ( as so often is the case) so as to be able to use the new to me lawn sprinkler. I flooded instead of strewn. All the lawns, including mine, are looking parched around here. I found some super duper lawn grass seed, soil and fertilizer but did not purchase, it did however give me something to dream about a thick green thatch of territory. The rest of the land that was not under construction, the weeds doing very well all things considered, was in fact mowed. All things needed in the garage moved out, as we land in the second t day of the week.
All this for the arrival and the continuation of the upheaval in the back yard. I considered and thought that 4 tons of tailings, tiny teeny gravel to the rest of us, was going to take up the whole drive way, which if you remember at it narrowest is 12 feet across and long enough to accommodate 7 cars with snow.
In came the truck, beeping its backward direction, missing the neighbors fire escape. In a cloud of dust there was a heap. Each scoopful weights 20 pounds I was assured by the driver when I dismayed.
Other events include digging out new sheets to wash and replace the thin and often see thru, but very soft ones. I had a complaint one time, that the sheets were scratchy when I had done this before. So I took a stone and scrubbed them, not.
The opening apple crisp is in the oven, coffee at the ready, and another day of fun and adventure begins. Head of contrition was bit by a wasp in the eye, so we will see if the patio progresses today past its present status. Which is there is a privacy fence up and lots of mud.””Either you run the day or the day runs you. Jim Rohn, Moi and Lucy
