I have to inform you, if truth be told, I do my dear and gentle readers, it does not look like I have done anything. I had called for reinforcements. Both parties declined, or failed to show at the appointed hour. One offering consolation and solace while doing so.

My eyes were rimmed with red, much like the weather warning issued for a storm. My shoes were covered in filth making them colorless. My sinus plugged with dust. Hands were black with grime. There are heaps of this, that, and the other thing still down there. Frightening, in point of fact. JUNK ! I have generational junk. I have ancestors junk, childhood clothes, descendants useless items that have consolidated into a solid mass. This does not even touch the junk that I still use, every now and then, stored as there is more space downstairs, theoretically or is that hypothetically . Then there are the ineffectual items stored as I did not want to, or have to get rid of them at the time.  Stalling techniques’ were thought of and used.  After much humming and forging, upstairs, like cleaning off the desk top again. We did get rid ourselves of and easily one paperclip holder from the previous occupant. Gaining energy for the task at hand with sop of bathrooms and kitchen.  it seemed the occasion has come.

We and really only me, instigated and inaugurated the 2016 Clean Sweep.

It would turn out at the close of the session, that we never got close to a broom. Thus invigorated from cleaning, we, and again only me, went clutching my three boxes of blue bags which I discovered had paid a pretty penny for and were too small for the task at hand. And weak, leaking contents indescribably, and tearing themselves when there was no more than 23 pounds in them. ALL this I would come to find out.  Geared up for the task as hand and as this was a recon mission, not planned well, I have to admit. I lowered myself into the basement and Into the basement I went ! Zeroing into the uncoordinated piles of stuff, left in heaps, about the basement, Which if truth be told should have been gone a long time ago. This was just random rabbitting, scurrying, and random stuffing, around. Not a plan in sight.

This is the stuff on top and not inn, before I can get to the stuff behind all that stuff still in the boxes that has been there since God, was a little girl.

I looked up and thought that Lucy must get her walk, the inaugural loaded up and out. Up and out came bags of surface stuff, socks, sweaters, shorts, and shoes. Now la Tomato is not a big car so we adjusted our sites to get the stuff out and into a little bitty car. With out thinking just how we would get the dog in there too, As I was going about all this, loading and lugging, pliable and leaking blue bags into the trunk, I look up and there was the truck for pick up for the diabetic society. I did not even call. He was not supposed to take without and appointment, but he snuck in my 6 pathetic for all the effort bags and all the 2 bags of tins that had decorated the kitchen for eras, stored in the garage for approximately 12 months or more.

Only those who attempt the absurd will achieve the impossible. I think it’s in my basement… let me go upstairs and check. M. C. Escher & Moi
