The atmospheric conditions were cordial. The sun it shone, as we made our way thru the nardar of the year, and summer and month. Gotta be something magical in that eh? Precipitation came thru last night, much needed as the grass, beaten by the sun, was an unnaturally jaundiced. Of course I remembered the pillows on the chaise lounge, at first light this morning.
The roses beaten down, by the downpour and the winds, will have to be clipped, the blooms exhausted, and in complete disarray. (sounds like the proprietors natural state of beingness, but I digress.) There is a tunnel of blooms, for the dog to get thru to the back yard. (I cannot see it and therefore the backyard, does not exist) I am here to tell you plentiful fistfuls of fertilizer, have aided in the blooming of the roses bushes. That assistance, provided by neighbors who had mistakenly purchased a box and passed to moi. The directions on the box were hastily ignored, with the result and thus, the fistfuls were incorrectly and liberally thrown months ago on the soil beneath, made for record number of blooms waving in the winds. I am I can now say, in my job description, a flower girl.
Rooms, deep cleaned, we have been clip clopping along at three out of five rooms. Not, a steady pace at all. Fill up and empty seems to be the order of it all this year. My cantankerous cleaning lady came out of retirement!! All the fingerprints eliminated on the furniture, and the dust under things, accumulated as the windows have been open.
Two men landed here. Both on two wheels, one cycling in one direction, the other on a motorized vehicle. Both going across the country, one to finish his journey the other half way, their respective journeys. I announce to all who come thru the door, “this is a house of magic and coincidence” most are polite enough to roll their eyes outside of my preview. The cycling one of the gentleman goes out for the day, as he is staying three days and at breakfast the next day, on Main Street, runs into his sister who is unbeknownst to him, in the big little city.
Other guests included, Jordanians, via Fredericton. Very nice young man here to play in the soccer tournament. Another gentleman from Ottoburn Park south of Montreal, promises to return for a month while working at the railroad company, gave me a five star review, on social media. That was nice to wake up to. Commenting on one of my reservation systems in French, that my French toast was most excellent!
At yet another breakfast, the same announcement, as we would come to discover, one set of the guests has worked with a friends parents, a long time ago, as a pharmacist AND bonus, had been a committee member with my neighbor to the right, moons ago. Another couple promised a good review. Thus and so another weekend has been done and literally dusted. The upcoming we are four out of five, rooms, stellar attributions to be assigned.
Coincidence is the word we use when we can’t see the levers and pulleys.

Your French Toast is indeed most excellent and well worthy of a five star review. On my next stay (God I am sooo due!) you will be challenged with the task of a vegan breakfast … perhaps a dairy-less French Toast is in the making? 🙂
Well, I have to say my Vegan guests love my peanut butter oatmeal.
