The temperatures, and the guests have picked up. Not one Canadian has moaned about the high temperatures, or the humidness. Little rain this morning and we are for a FRIDAY, it feels like it should be at least Saturday or next week sometime. The blistering pace of life, jumped into being thru no fault of my own. Walks were held but briefly, and Lucy and I panted our way thru the day. The grass is beyond redemption.

All sorts of guests here, escaping big cities, their 3 year old, joining a convention of worshipers. There was a parade complete with bagpipes for the special Olympics. I could hear them and the cheering, while cleaning the bathroom for the second time, as all the guests came in stripped off and showered it seemed.

The house is half francophone half Anglo, with British Indian, a couple here, students it seems, to purchase a car.

I came into town after having a sojourn at the sea, and went to to work, including a purchase of a new hand held blender at 8 pm while I waited for the couple to arrive, late, at night. purchased and another case probably. There is The grocery store saw my presence twice, a case of apple juice now enough bread in the fridge that I cannot get the door closed. A new member of the short story book club introduced herself in the fruits and vegetable section and I still have difficulty placing her and the book. I was just racing around. I baked a cake, and made prophylactic apple sauce.

I have not gotten the gardening done, as somehow it was too hot. The clippers resting on a chair to remind me in the kitchen. I remembered what colour of container had to be at the end of the drive and managed to get that out. Inspection reveals this morning I was correct.

Must run, as I am behind already, and get 11 people thru breakfast at a gait. One of the best pieces of advice I ever got was from a horse master. He told me to go slow to go fast. I think that applies to everything in life. We live as though there aren’t enough hours in the day but if we do each thing calmly and carefully we will get it done quicker and with much less stress.
