The tipping point, in more ways than one. Over the edge of the year, the week and the month, and the list of life. Checked off the list are light-bulbs. I purchased in my haste, a box that I soon found out were “vanity globes” suitable for around mirrors and application of makeup. On sale! They show off the tins paint to their advantage.

The activity being done here was astonishing. Along with guests from all over the place. As we almost caught up to July on the” honey do” list, except there is not beloved to be found. I have to pay as we all do in life. AND get to argue with them. The patio was not completed and will not be it seems. My repair guy no longer has a truck, the price of the wood, again, astonishing. Coupled with having to pay delivery charges for the wood, put the completion into suspension.

Holes inside and outside that a vet guest claimed was a skunk-hole, were filled. The toilet on the first floor was frigged with, the repair gentleman could not hear the water tinkling he would not change out the guts of the toilet…I can hear it in the office….a room away. The exhaust fans in two out of the three bathrooms were cleaned, (only the motors as he would not dust the encasement while he was up on the ladder) the third, untouched as he thought it was hunky-dory. He whitewashed the garage, and the windows.

The garden beds are done, except for one, just could not muster the energy to get out there. I had a relay race down the driveway, as the motorcycle people saddled up, with 10 giant lawn bags and 5 blue bags. Magically all gone on the second T day of the week. I should have taken a picture. Dinner was a box cheese nips and grapes for dinner, nutritionally sound, fat, salt and sugar all covered.

Lucy got the left over boiled egg from a guest a “water walker” who did not eat breakfast, as she was intolerant of most of the food I had prepared for the other guests. She ate zilch. In my defence, gallons of french toast mix has been made.

An interesting fact I found out however, about this years disaster, the flood of ‘17. I went to pay my water bill, discovered that it has used 6 cubic meters of water. Property tax people have been phoned to keep that budget on the straight and narrow. Now for fuel costs, waiting for the budget oil announcement. Sales remittance needs to be send to Newfoundland. The new business cards arrived and now need new cheques to pay the reservations systmems, but first I have to reconcile them, this is a day off. OFF we walked to the bank as it is easier to than figure out how to order on line. I am sure I could figure it out, focusing seems to be a problem.

Lucy loves the banks as they give her cookies so to the bank we went, as it is overcast and coolish.  The tree guy never showed and told the neighboors he was too busy. to take down a tree, Now to hunt down my window washer, which is the last of the May jobs to be done.

I woke up because I had a bad dream. Was driving in my little red car,on a narrow road. Looking for a place to turn around. The only place I could apparently was a little turn off up ahead. I looked up and saw this mountain and there was a strata of petrified trees. A misstep, somehow out of my car, and was with my cousin Phillip and landed on the petrified purple-blue coloured boggy wood. Going straight down, sank rapidly. He was unable to reach me, it happened so swiftly. I could not get my arms up, I sank into the black.

“In the end, Tipping Points are a reaffirmation of the potential for change and the power of intelligent action. Look at the world around you. It may seem like an immovable, implacable place. It is not. With the slightest push—in just the right place—it can be tipped.” M. Gladwell, moi and Miss LP
