Here we are, ready or not, here we come! About to launch the tourism season AGAIN. Yesssssssss! get on the pastime horse of life again. We recently slayed dragons and now return to our regularly scheduled programming. Peering intently around, she said “No more leaping over buildings?” Not a high alert anywhere. Reverting to regular. Boot camp even was attended. Maximum movement I have to say was not extended in the work out. (one does not want to over reach does one?)
Lucy got fed, and received her amino acids. During the recent crisis situation, there were days, four of them where she might not have gotten either. EVEN SO, she had a golden smile on her face this morning, waiting for her tummy to be tickled. AND if I doubted that the amino acids did not work, she really perked up noticeably, and subsequently to receiving them on her regular schedule. I myself found frozen yogurt to be of great comfort.
The lawn, emerald green, the blades bending in the winds, beckoned. and it was a jungle out there. The task, of running thru the field, filled four bags, on the back of the machine. Going in circles again, getting around. Starting the machine is always a challenge. Pushing as the blades are wonko, as its turned a plow, taking with it huge swaths of grass, in the manner it should not become accustomed.
My younger sibling sent along pictures of her beauteous roses and grounds. There was even exquisite green grass and splendiferous walkways, little grandchildren rollicking. You can see the commitment, the care, the rosiness. Mine were irrigated, with the dehumidifier water, I might add, with great passion, not a pagoda in sight.
Thusly, my favorite diversion occurred. Time traveling with a twist. I assumed it was the second T day of the week. I pretended to time travel. That is a first. I was in fact grounded in reality, why I would want to stay there I am not sure. The reason? I did not want to lug the monstrous green lawn bags back and forth down the drive. Yes I told anyone who would listen, and there were not that many believe me, “Whoops wrong.” No it seems, was concerned or cares. I also washed my hair, ahead of boot camp, as I was not quite ready to commit to going and during wondered just why I had, while my head was in the mud, there had been a red alert to warn of giant thunderstorm. This too turned out to be a little exaggerated, with just a scatter to make the terra firma a very comfortable muddy mix.
The 100 load bottle of laundry detergent was returned, as I had put it in the car on the driver’s seat. Saving my self $12 I spent $47. Acquisition of groceries, need I say more. The spinach was just being marked down as I arrived, I saved $2,00. High financing at its best. I returned to get the dog and OFF to the original apple store for you got it apples. THEY were under construction, but it was not my construction. The kid at the counter was coughing and recommended Ida reds. Which were not what I was looking for. All of which sound pretty mundane, and it was. Not a high alert anywhere. Returning to normal.
The grass is green and we are into month of May list of life. The beds outside need to be looked at. The poor rhubarb is skinny and wasted. The raspberry canes, well that is another story. The Weeds are high, very beautiful I have to say. Social media tells me not to take out these as the bumble bees need them, but I am not so sure what to believe. I close out by listening to the water trickling in the toilet, a chore to put on the list, and here we go again, stay tuned. The fact to which we have got to cling, as to a lifebelt, is that it is possible to be a normal decent person and yet be fully alive. Allen Ginsberg, MOI and Miss Lucy P
