The sun is under cloud cover at the moment, as was the day or my personality some would say, nevertheless is not anticipated to stay there. As it with life, and they say into every life some rain must come thundershowers, those are in the forecast for tomorrow.

We set out to accomplish a great deal, in the heat and sunshine. The list was not long, but none on the list were in the same direction we were to find out. Having remembered the price of an item was wonderful and potentially I was assured the second would be at the same place of commerce.

Scouted the price of bags of earth for the lawn, via the computer. I found recently that shopping in person cheaper. OFF we went. The annual fill in the gaps rampage. I had to have assistance of course, so as not to be looking like I was just filling my car with earth and first lining up at the service counter to pay behind a lady in a wheel chair. Who too, (is that not an African tribe in Africa?) looked-for assistance to get her items into bags strewn about the chair. Purchasing 20 of them.

I requested and was directed to the light bulb section, after my purchase. Thus and so, went thru to the other side of the store, thru 15,345 items, to not find for my $10 bargain, free standing lamp, a bulb. Even with help, I found I could not do it. The description of the bulb, copiously copied, off the shade, to find what I was thinking I was looking for, was not sufficient to locate what it was I was looking for.

I have been looking for a long time and when I find it, look out. Back we chugged La Tomato stuffed to the roof with bags of earth. I had help with the stuffing part, two bags at a time. The Un-stuffing I did all by myself.

In the middle of the store, somehow I had wandered into the book section, I managed to be organized taking my book, phone and a pen, a reservation. OH JOY. I am full one night this summer. I had also received a call in the morning, from a travel agent. A couple from Mason Iowa is coming, not the night I am full. A veritable goldmine of reservations.

A separate store, grocery this time, following the whining at boot camp, dressed in my sweaty best, I went to look for shampoo. In the can’t put in your suitcase size, as it was next on the list. It too was nowhere to be found at the grocery store. The shelf was in that section of shampoo was as bare as mother Hubbard’s cupboard. The grocery clerk obligingly made the trek to the posterior of the store to look. Progress is not always linear. Two steps forward etc. as you all my dear and gentle readers are on familiar terms with. “”Beware the barrenness of a busy life. Socrates and Moi with Lucy 2
