Half way thru the New Year folks. The huge news of the day??? A man, looking straight at me, told me to say just “yes.” WHAT ! What, what Enquiring minds want to know!

Hold on to your hats. I was at the third hardware store that day. I had taken photographs of the lamp inside and out. The rant is on, the bargain of a lamp I found? Garage sailing? They discounted un- asked? I got it for $5? Well read on.

It is impossible now, that I have been to 3 different locations, to get a bulb for it. I also purchased another, at the same time, thinking BARGAIN. thinking that the hanging lamp would look good in the dining room, upgrading from 1950 to say ten years ago in terms of décor. Thinking I was saving SO much money, and have yet to start to look for a bulb for it. I am afraid, very afraid. After the chase of the day, I was informed it was if lit up a fire hazard. Such a deal.

With each store we were getting closer. The young things all looking like they should be in high school and probably were. They were somewhat helpful, closer to the grail as it were.

I have wandered off tangent and it seems digressed AGAIN. I went and per the policy to go the oldest man I can find, and they are seemingly looking like my age group now, showed him the picture. He walked to where I had been examining florescent bulbs and pulled one out, and asked me to say yes. I was speechless, that not happening often let me tell you. It was not to be.

The positive aspect is, to the gloomy weather is not having to hand water the lawn. The quest was from the list of life a new end to the hose and light bulbs and to that end, I spent a lot of time in hardware stores, several of them, finding a brass fitting to insert into the end replacing the plastic, which has been broken. Probably by my standing on it at some point cracking it. The pursuit today to find the tools to fix it. I did however patch the bathtub, and it now looks tiger stripes.
