We took a day to recover from landscaping. Yes without a doubt, indeed, we plunged back into another season all together, time traveling, not knowing, as per usual, just where we were to land. The last days were similar to la Whizzard of Qz and Madame Mary Poppins if I could be so bold as to make a comparisons (when am I not my dear and gentle readers ask)

OFF we went quarrelling, arguing and manhandling the MAMMOTH payload van down the actual highway, and not just the highway of life, but that too. INN excessive blustery weather and precipitation to deliver giant flora and foliage to the hospital. Loading them and unloading had some very Mary Poppins moments when take off was animate moments. The hospital doors were like a labyrinth, having to, with shrubbery, at least 7 feet tall. ( I in fact am under estimating and not mentioning how much they weighted, boot camp coming inn handy again. ) Thus having to lean left and correct right thru the doors while I gave much amusement to all sitting in the emergency dept situated to the right of the doors. It was easer to project them forward when walking, but backwards when loading them into the cargo van, rented for this special occasion.

I was originally downsizing some of the plants, and found that none would fit in my neighbors’ van at all, two feet of the test plant stuck out the back, drooping onto the driveway. They would have been frozen along with the occupants. The owner of the van having no idea just how many or how big these were started inviting all and sundry for lunch & visit the Bagtown 45 minutes down the road. So it was either go for lunch, and keep the plants or find another mode of transportation. My neighbor to the left, left departed in a van that during the week was $19,95 plus insurance, which cost more than the rental fee, but every plant fit, some on their side. The rain wind and cold adding to the delights of the day.

This lumberjacking of plants in had been progress prior to this for days. They had resided in living room, but had been deemed by professional help (now that kind!) that they needed to be goaded, pulled out of place, lurched upstairs to another room. They stayed there 1,4 days and back down they came when a new home, in a place of reflection and rumination in Bag town was found. Out they went and quickly back in when they did not fit in the first van. Rental and pricing information gleaned from my ex-neighbor we were off to rent the giant van.

With that they were escorted home. We’ve got this gift of love, but love is like a precious plant. You can’t just accept it and leave it in the cupboard or just think it’s going to get on by itself. You’ve got to keep watering it. You’ve got to really look after it and nurture it. John Lennon Moi and Lucy
