I just had to do it. Yep. What ! What!! exclaimed the dear and gentle readers of this daily missive. WHAT. I had to, in the brightness, and brisk winds to take off the protective plastic covering on the bushes on the foliage at the front of the house. Last year if you remember, I stood at much the same date at the beach on top of the road sign 8+ feet in the air on the snow and had my picture took. This winter as I have been raving about has been the polar opposite. SO I thought not much snow I will take the orange plastic off. Now usually you cannot see the orange colour we have that much snow. This year brilliant orange for months.

The sun was up, the wind was too, as I alleged. I even found the leaves that had not been raked and did them too. Feeling virtuous. (and some days are better than other on that subject) BUT if had a niggling little thought. I did. You will be pleased to know. Yep. In two days it will be St Paddy’s day. SO? The inquiring minds that read this ask? Well I forgot. WHAT, what, again !! the readership solicits. I overlooked, the saint paddies day snow storm. Every year, here in the big little city, we get that last drop of snow hurled at us to make sure we are cold and miserable, while people in Vancouver, send pictures, and this happens every year, of vegetation blooming.

I confessed my sins via social media, and responses of some reputation and repute returned. One claimed to have taken off her tires on her truck, most blame me for the snow misfortune to come. As everyone knows, there will be snow. This morning the forecast turned and supported the supposition.

After all that, OFF to boot camp we went, the diminutive leadership still at it. (as a matter of fact so am I ) I don’t know why she demonstrated anything, as we all stand around later trying to figure out just what we are doing and where. Triceps lifts, leg lunges, OFF we went, 15 of this, 10 e (that means each leg or appendage) of that. WHIZZING thru, I made it down the list in record time, and only when going thru a second time I realized that I had missed about half of the required excises. One of which was the alphabet with your legs. This was lying on the mat waving your legs around pretending you are literate. THEN going thru the same alphabet with weights on your arms. This would be easy for some 5 year learning to read, yes but there I was lost, between M and O.

We build these nests of equipment, bosus, mats, weights and plenty of them, and of varying degrees. Some days skipping, some days stairs. As the class progresses, you go for lighter weight and I have to confess, modify the push up chess touch to lying on the floor and breathing. Then last night, we slipped from vigorous and virtuous to chips, chocolate and just what is on sale for Easter candy. I didn’t have the same fitness or ability as the other girls, so I had to beat them with my mind. Martina Hingis & Moi
