March 20, 2017

We have held the fort!  We have made it thru to the lengthening days! The prescription, to bed down, book in hand and naps, many many naps.

OFF to the library with a new authors name, we went!  Back to the abode again, dejected dog in tow. She is not allowed in the library any more, but has to sit outside and wait. They discovered she was a dog. She, in the past would remain at the front desk while I whirled around,to pick up holds, and she used to get her due, admiration and petting. I a secondary appendage.  All Golden’s being love hounds. We came away, regardless, with two mysteries to read, now that how thrilling. Homeward bound, the old girl, sniffing the edge of spring. Plastic bags, faded and chewed, waved at us from snowbanks diminishing, uncovered with the melt.

Time change, combined with the second season of 2017 at hand, tax and mud being subsections of it. I was of the sentiment that I got thru the rights of spring unscratched. Hindsight, established without doubt, that I was institutionally time traveling. Herein lies the tail.

Reading the jackets of the mysteries, I put the series in order. Hard to imagine I know. I was impressed with myself. The opening chapters commence, for the regular nightly required reading, thrilled. A few pages in, we are OFF to dream land. Very confused as the main characters have gone from Vegas to Minneapolis or Indianapolis, in a few pages. Carry on for several nights, how did it happen, the question of most mysteries and good stories. Back and  forth they went. And MOI to not be able to follow the plot. I know many of your will accuse me of this anyway. Back and forth every night,I went. Plot less. It takes me several days or nights to realize that I am reading two books out of sequence. My life story.

We have gone thru “the winter of the accordion.” Not the musical instrument, but temperatures, various and overtures never seen before. I know I have commented on the weather many, many, years. I get it from my mother, it is inherited. She in all phone calls reports on her weather, her sisters, my sisters and any untoward atmospheric phenomenon event reported anywhere not limited to North America, but that is her main focus. Basically any weather event in the news. The second phase of most calls is who has what disease, but I digress.

This was the winter of not only mood swings, but of temperatures swings of great miniature and magnitude, with windchill’s. We had in one month, complete with ice storms, all the snow we could handle. The dirty snow you will be pleased to hear, is currently melting. There is enough white snow, to let the girl dog snow bath in our walks. The walks when we head out are of interminable duration at present. We don’t know if we go in circle and back to the car, or we walk for an hour. We follow her lead.

Her Majesty, also has a broken tooth I am told, and was antibacterial drugs. This meant that she could not eat for one of the prescriptions and had to eat for the other two. The circus continued, as we had to feed her delicious food in the morning to get the necessary full tummy. Spaghetti sauce and soup being some of her favorites on the kibble. I too had some spreadable forms of prescriptions for my skin, having been apparently in a hot-tub to get it. I do not recall such events, at all. It probably would have been a pleasant interlude had it taken place.

While we are guest-less, there are interminable rounds of chores. I have in your absence my dear and gentle readers, given up on getting stuff out of the basement as it snowed and there was ice, making for unnecessary trips. No we called in the professionals and had the bathtub reglared. Five days the house stank, resorting to having to rodeo roping the bathroom door closed. The binding not being rope at all, but the ligament for the charger I had hid on myself. Which I found while looking for something to keep the door hitched to fire extinguisher on the wall. Recent inspections of the glazing shows it did not take, BIG huge bubbles not where you want them in a tub. Endless this life.

Some other and yearly chores have included things like having to commute to the accountants. They moved offices. I have been on auto pilot, thus gotten lost every time, with all manner and several times with paper necessary for the gods of patriot revenue agency. Confused, disoriented and lost IS my natural state it seems. ( I just have to get used to it.) Thus necessitating outstanding and immense, naps. I have been doing a good job on this, while  trying to maintan my annual duties. Practice makes perfect.
