Mothers Day May 08th, 2016

I left Lucy at the back door, to recover from, as she had carried out, a chasing and stalking expedition, large and encompassing it was. She showed great fortitude. She was grinning, like mad, when done and back home at the back step, panting too, as the temperatures rocketed upwards, in a display of summer to come.

We had just revisited and returned from the riverfront, the daily walking of Lucy, golden retriever extraordinary. Once again I have the story back to front and I have leapt ahead. Back we go to the beginning. Unbeknownst, to me, or MOI as I often call myself in the daily diatribe, was ahead of her on the path, something that even at her advanced age does not happen often, and pacing forward.

She at the time, found a ground hog. The first I heard of it was, a chirp. A high pitched SQUEEK of alarm they admit. Lucy, 12 year dog with great hunting skills, kept it where it was not supposed to be. In a blue plastic pipe for water drainage below that path. Lucy would not pay attention, to moi and was distracted, somewhat similar to me on occasions to me, but she was on top of things I have to say. I had to put her on a leash and drag her back to the car, two reasons heat and heart, for the panting and very proud of herself.

One step forward and two back. I had the brain wave I might put some money in the bank as I had guests. But why if I did not have dreadful providence would I have any? A bed broke, in the night, and as such, offered the couple, a free stay. They took the mattress and put it on the floor. I was sound asleep, not hearing a thing. They will return to Moncton, which is likely given her mom is here. ( I had her weeping in my arms as they left, using social work skills it seems as she has issues with her mother she just visited, to get them out the door, but I digress. Do I get paid for that? NO. ) The sun was out, sheets and the cover for the broken bed went out on the line, and awaiting my guy to fix or have to replace the bed. Mercury and 6 other planets are retrograde, until the 21st, of this month warned to hang in there till then.

It has to been fixed, the bed (and the relationship, in spite of my great skills) This ancient bed needs a repair, if not then replacement. My guy will come on Monday to assess the situation. Floors were scrubbed, cleaned up the two rooms, and dishes and went off to eat breakfast.

The price of everything marches on, and so it seems do I I have started to organize, my 60th birthday party, (no really??) a tree go line zipping thing. Organizing my boot camp class is like herding cats. June sometime. Lucy adoption day is the 24th may take her with me, not. Poor decisions and bad luck are contingencies of most horror films.
