OMg/ess, I got out of bed thinking it was Saturday, ready to do Saturday, just discovered it was Friday. Now have to do Friday. There I was in bed, thinking of all the things I put in the list of lineup for Monday. THEN I  and now discovered that I can in fact do them, and not put them off……. This brings the question,  if 40 is the new 30, and 50 is the new 40, why can’t Thursday be the new Friday ?On top of all the tooting and fogging between days, I woke up at 4:30 this morning and could not get back to sleep. Now I think it’s time for my afternoon nap………..I had breakfast early, and hearty it was, fruit, peanut butter and oatmeal topped with high fat yogurt, as I was hungry. That was a while ago, and now I want lunch, which could be if pushed another breakfast.

It started with Uncle John leaving a ticket to a church breakfast for mother’s day, which is Sunday, but the brunch is Saturday morning. Let me point out that I am not a mother either and never have been. There was some discussion prior to the leaving of the ticket would be a good time. If I had no guests then 10 if not I get to eat with the staff. Now looking good for an influx of guests. Was so excited, now delayed, but if I think positively, I will have a long weekend you get to do Saturday twice, and maybe a second breakfast today or was that yesterday.   If I stay in my nightclothes, does that mean time will not pass? Went to the vet, and I quote after reviewing the results from two years ago, and had a very good examination. “Lucy, is could have at least another couple of years” She could see how she got the diagnoses as x-ray are an inexact science. All the other items on x=ray could be explained away, (she does not have the nodule on the spleen, liver or tumor gall bladder.)  Thus and so she has a small liver for her size and the decision to support her liver at that time with the amino acids, was and still is good. She is getting what she needs but for the wrong reason! She takes them daily, that was/is a good decision because her is small livers capacity.

She has not got her original diagnoses, (and confirmed by a second opinion at the time,) This vet could see how she got that one, but as Lucy did not die ‘within weeks” from the original cancer diagnoses, she is and has leathery/stiff lungs, (allergens and the like possibly) and a small liver. She has arthritis,  but she is not it appears to be in much pain and still has a good appetite and range of motion. She has an “athletic” heart, beats slow and strong.  I wept all the way home The happy ending is hardly important, though we may be glad it’s there. The real joy is knowing that if you felt the trouble in the story, your kingdom isn’t dead. Lynda Barry, Moi and the unsinkable Lucy P
