One more day, departed, vanished like the pace of a rapid bullet. I did not, in fact, have to leap over any buildings, which is a good thing, when you think about it, but the allotted 24 was brisk in its expiry.

Soup was made, beds were changed, dogs were walked and at the same time, mutt-i tasking at it best we have to say, post was posted. The opening event of the lawn mowing season was completed. Moving officially from winter shoveling to spring clipping.

The second T day of the week of course brought out reprocessing, more or less invisible on the list of life but there never fear ! One gathers waste, trash, garbage, compost, recycling, and Lucy’s brown bags. They are, and there are many of them collected thru the week, most love-lying I have to admit. The brown plastic bags, complete with picture of a dog and instruction for use, fit over my hand. I stand with one on my hand to prevent folks from telling me what I need to do-do while I wait. The brown bags, are just about big enough for golden retrievers pooh-poohing. Intended and designed for a much smaller dog I have to in fact admit to. I have you will be pleased to know, my dear and gentle readers of long standing, that I have the technique!! The stoop, grab, pull thru and twist ! Tying, optional and done to perfection.

The day reversed itself too, after much of the above was accomplished. The guiding principle of leave no bed untouched was again, implemented. The guests of the evacuation were up and at it at 3 pm in the afternoon. More coherent, I have to say. Up, up and away, late in the 24 allotted to them, but on their way to fight thru the rest it. The puppy was put out twice during their stay and was a “good girl” (somewhat similar to moi I have to admit.)

No puddles discerned I have to say. It was then, I started to clean in the afternoon, which as my long time readers know is not how things are usually accomplished here in the bed and breakfast. I thought I might leave the sheets, until the next morning, but no, “what if there was an outbreak of tourism? ’ (HA! The coordinator of tourism from the city, dropped off brochures no one will look at, and exclaimed it was “not her job to fill up me up” no its not, but what exactly is she doing? I wondered)

There has been a major policy change ! It has been custom to listen to the patriot radio station. Listening in, with attention to detail, concentration, to war, famine, crime and sadness, and with great care. It is now implied that a dance station was found, music of my youth. Boogieing has ensued while the French toast cooks. (Similar to watching Rome burn, but I digress) Thus the new years resolutions of years gone by enacted. Dance more.

“We should consider every day lost on which we have not danced at least once.”
