Seize the day ! the hurried I go, the be-hinder I get. The readers of this diatribe peer at the screen, now what is she up to?
I. Am. Serious. Very.“There is no time it appears, ever, to take care of personal items, such as the brush & flush routine!” the author of the diatribe asserts. There is the list of life that is often referred to, and it as my largehearted readers know, is about the bed and breakfast. The pace set by the tasks and duties prescribed perceived and necessary and that come with keeping the establishment afloat.
Ad hominem items on the agenda are often overlooked.
Years, and years and years, and I am NOT exaggerating,(exasperating perhaps) whirl by. Most days, often and I am frequenter of leaping out of bed, don the PINK housecoat, manage to tie the belt, Pull out my teeth, (mouth guards checked and okay for another 100,000 miles) drink STRONG tea, (heart starting brew,) check my head is on my shoulders, ( I am at age I would forget where I put it if not for the physicality of it all) thus the place kick OFF to work I go. My commute is 13 feet. The kettle of life is flicked into life, and so am I.
We, that would be MOI and you, my dear and gentle readers, stand at the precipice of the last TWO months of the year, with the list of life accomplished whether we want it to be or not, in a good spot, somewhat caught up and ongoing. Yes that is an accomplishment. One that the author could brag on and on and on about, and frequently does, the faithful mutter.
The day referred to above, a focus of little old lady stuff. Doctors appointments, dentist, shoe and body covering, that list is endless. OFF we went to see about propping up the feet. Then encasing them. Telephone call to see about physiatrics as drugs as I assured you in an earlier diatribe, have to stop some time. We are not sure the hips want to coordinate with the spine the problem starting out much lower than that. All was done, along with a singular breakfast for a guest from B.C.
The large dog got a large walk of the day. Temperatures soared into the 20’s as industrious individuals, moi included, started off with gloves and sweaters, stripping in the street as we warmed up in the sun and the shine.
We searched for the applesauce and the fruit salad lost in the fridge for breakfast, but found for dinner.Answered emails about parking, problems of where to do that, all manner of issues, including lunch were looked after. We have to get better at lunch as we were ready for supper at 3:15. Forms, arraigned and were focused on, to apply for money, always a good thing. Last but not least we woke up to a recall of the dishwasher, purchased between 2012-2015. Recall take on a whole new perspective, as it is difficult to remember just when it was purchased. No matter, the appliance giant it was acquired from has just declared and is bankrupt. My life in a 24 hour nut shell. Oh yes two rooms for the night, and we are still at it. “Don’t watch the clock; do what it does. Keep going.” – Sam Levenson Moi Miss LP
