I was behind before I got up. Slow wading thru guests. Full minus one room. Way back last week, I decided to go run, and did. Apparently ran 6 k. I did not mean too. But the crowd, the boot campers went in the longer direction, I went in the other to meet them. Along side the river, across the bridge and exhaust over the board walk and back again. I did pass several people who were strolling you will be pleased to know. An hour later I was back at the car, with a face that only a beet would recognize. It was hot and I was yes indeed perspiring. This jaunt however knocked out any inclination for a the regular class the next day. The intrepid leader was stood up. I my defense it was a start to lovely long weekend, I had guests arriving.

Longer staying guests. I have an 8 day reservation ensconced, while her daughter plays soccer in a Canadian Championship around the town. She has six children and has been enjouying her break from reality. Coming downstairs for breakfast looking more and more refreshed as the days go by.

Grandparents here from the Island for a hockey tournament, two days thus far. Will find out if they are staying another night, this dependant on whether the grandson team wins and advances to the finals, or not.

I have house hunter, recommended by my previous Realtor here for a week. He does not come down for breakfast, as he gets “nervous around people.” While he is imbibing however he is the life of the party. Good looking man running away from the other side of the country. Going to bring his concrete truck with him he tells me. He was impressed with my side patio made out of cultured stone So am I.

I told him I had lugged all the stone from the beach, in La Tomato. My truck of choice, a Yaris.

It has been warm, temperatures in the 20s. This should break today, when it starts to rain, not much but will build to 15 mm over time. We were downgraded from a tropical storm, with warnings of hurricanes earlier in the week. I never got the patio furniture out of the garage, due to that ongoing saga.

I have the brush and flush going on, and need to get back to breakfast, so a short diatribe today. Wishing my American readers a happy Columbus day, and Canadian a hearty Thanksgiving weekend.

OFF we go for another day of fun and adventure. Lucy P sends her love as do I.
