It is chromatic on the other side. It is truth, as there are two sides to the story. This particular story is beside the side walk to the house. What, is she rambling on about now? My patient and gentle readers bespeak. While on my sojourn from the creative process of writing and some of my fans have asked, well two anyway, just what have I been doing, about the meanderings of the bed and breakfast. The answer to that is I have been as per usual, running with scissors in hand, awaiting the next disaster to befall. All is well, the gates of tourism slammed shut. With days with no phone calls and reservations made and then the oh too familiar unmade.
I simply have to tell you what a rush it has been prior to all that. The cancellation of the concert, lead to one night of solitude. Just mom in residence after the fact. A family friend down from the Paris of North America to say hello. The house was full to the brim, with BAGS of recycling going down the lane. This year not much lawn mowing going on because of the heat, and due to high occupancy, a lack of lachrymation of the first round of seed and soil.
We have eaten french fries just about everyday. Breakfast is done on ones own as she knows where the cereal, milk and white bread is. Then negotiations kickoff, about what to eat and when. She reads the newspaper, plays the bridge column, that she walked to get prescribed manner. She can and does add the bills up in her head. She discovered while reviewing the purchase of a butterfly at a pharmacy they charged her for the large and she paid for the small, and back she goes. Mom, is well senescent girl well. Slow and steady, and with batteries in her hearing aides, well there is no stopping her. I come by it honestly.
It took a great deal to get the layers of excess article of clothing off her back. She, one day, on a burger walk, had on four layers of clothing, two hats in fact, one in hand, the other on her head, complete with two pairs of sunglasses, one pair over her glasses. It was near in temperatures to her age. SUNNY, warm, beautiful. She then got it in her head she needed an umbrella for rain to come in three or four days. It is ever near at hand just in case.
Lucy is well, old dog well, the heat bothering her as well, but I cannot do anything about her two layers of fur. She still meanders after or ahead of mom and me after the trip to to the local burger shop. Mom and Lucy simply love our drives to the burger shops, very happy they are about french fries. We have been saving lots of money, with coupons no less and then onwards ! to the riverfront to eat. Lucy meanders in one direction while mom meanders in another after the trip to to the local burger shop. I am trying to keep both on eyes on the prize.
The coupons come in the mail. The trick is then leaving all sorts of them in La Tomato for consumption, a trick that works, btw. ( I wonder why they still use that term glove compartment, but we have for our consumption, every coupons under the sun, in there, but I digress. I learned this trick from the dog and the cat, I left their medical records in there for fast access to cross the boarder, something I have not done in years and could not have accessed because of the cat cage in the front seat, but I digress.) Thus I am getting zits, in the middle of my forehead and keeping up my very ample figure.
BUT what about the greenery!! I came across, while driving in New York style construction a sale of soil, and having purchased seed, Away we went. Slowly as I loaded up the car, with 20 bags of it, mom moi and the dog. The very next day, throwing around again, soil then seed. BUT it is the hose I really want to drone on about. Trying to save it from landfill. I went to purchase a new ending, wonder if I can do that with my life? Wrong, got a male too big, and then back to another, and purchased a female, it was too big nope, who new you needed to measure the hose before setting out. Then a third, male and when down to the last option, the correct one. I now have a sprinkler and a hose operational for a half hour daily. I have resisted pulling up the grass seed to see if had sprouted. Thus the grass is greening. People often ask me whether I prefer theater or film, and the answer is that I prefer the one I’m not doing: The grass is always greener. Helen Mirren, Lucy Mom and Moi
