Life rears its head, jinxed, unlucky, jinxed. The washer, won’t stop watering, and so it goes. Full up as some Germans, a father daughter combo from Bavaria completed the house. I called the Flirty mans son, and hopefully am on the list for an inexpensive replacement part. They will show up when the tree guy, the chimney guy, the plumber and painter are all parked in the drive, as I have been doing a slow nag for all of the men in my life to show up. Truly however the machine owes me nothing as I beat it to death with all the laundry.

The day started with a 9 a.m. doorbell the daughter of the guest arriving to get the key, as her mother arrived between 12-2.Depending on how later she would be. Rerun of a couple from Quebec having spent time in all sort of places and return home on the five o’clock train.

The day was bright, the sun was summer like on the first days of fall, and we are pleased to announce, that, La Tomato got a bath. Inside and out. This has been on the list for a while, as it was Lucy dependent, and since she seems to be staying we let her rip. The real reason that it got done was in the sunshine it was like looking out of cataract. Now it is patterned but clean. I rode around to the neighborhood gas station to use their industrial vacuum, and the top came off, I am not the only one with old and tired equipment. They duck taped it and away we went.

I while hosing thru the sand, hear or thought I heard Lucy barking. I rode home around the block and entered at top speed, She was sitting on her mat. Back I went, commenced hosing. Barked again, then I looked over and there in a car with its engine running and air conditioning, was an Airedale yelling at its person to return.

Thus the day was spent turning off hoses of various sorts and terrified, that there was another to be another deluge. Stood by the washer, and turned off water, to the basement for more turning and on. I took the mop outside and washed the car, and then OFF to the grocery store for pork chops ON SALE, into the oven they went with mushroom soup, and old but great recipe, I can highly recommend. Brown them first with onions and a slow oven.

Onto a sleepy, I thought mystery but that too had the heat turned up. Thus the day begins, banana breads in the oven, and hear the guest from France UP and at it, jet lag hitting her hard it seems.
