star date 070717 but I know it is 08/17/17

You may have felt the absence on the airways of late. Wondering my dear and gentle readers what the heck has been going on. Well a summer cold, blocked out a date or two on the calendar, went down. Me and the hound. We were OFF, for something to do, we thought.

Lucy P was taken to see, or feel in this case, a hands on therapist. Treatment, filled with anticipation that the old dog, will learn new tricks, or get off pain meds. (she is not, as of this writing, but limping less, occasionally to reassure her fans.) We now majestically make our way around the blocks, very unhurriedly, like we have all the time in the world, and we do.

Taken care of as I could get her, I was assured by some bright young think, when I made an appointment for MOI, I would live on. I just don’t know how. I am publicly apologizing to a beloved booster of mine, who, I ran out on, as I had to nap and did not stay for lunch. There was no place to lie down, to wait. Humble apologies.

Given, I am time traveling, I threw in a seasonal purchase just to confuse moi, further.  I purchased snow boots. You have to be quick to get the bargain,I was, between a short milk run. Tried on with thick socks, walking boots for next winter. Not a steal, but a deal. Back we came.

I have no idea, just how I am doing it. NONE, possibly experience, giving me a feel for how to. This is the time of year for drooping, flagging and to be careworn. I was also was bleary-eyed, and ailing, poorly due to a a respiratory ailment the coma cold. What fun. But the idea of running away has some appeal, but could not, as friends, they run a bnb up north, were coming to visit. They had to return the mats I left behind.

There we were, feasting in celebration of their recent escape, thinking I had an easy day of it, the next day, I had a glass of whine. There was thru out the day hard negotiations with the help. It became known that I would not have any. Thus I closed out. Thinking just how omniscient, sagacious and wise I was. In control of my life for a change, a mere minute or two, but read on.

While returning to the menagerie, I walked into a lamp post while trying to see just what someone else was cleaning. (the public stairwell in the parking garage down the street, can you guess?)

Not only am I sick and tired, I am sore, and not boot camp sore. Boot camp is a vague memory. I am receiving reservations for November.

Guests to the right of me, left upstairs and down. The phone it rang, the doorbell too, we are so full we don’t know what to do. Reservation systems working overtime, that are CLOSED sending me guests from Boston. I had no beds for. They are in cots. I had phoned and found the city is full, they sending people to the sticks, several cities over. I also have cleaning help as the diabetic daughter, got someone else to take her. Wish me luck as we slide, thru the rest of the month.

Love like you’ll never be hurt,
Sing like there’s nobody listening,
And live like it’s heaven on earth.”
